Man Arraigned After Stealing Two Packs Of Juice

 
A 32-year-old man, Patrick Nnaji, is standing trial before an Igbosere Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing two packs of Five Alive fruit juice valued at N600.
Patrick Nnaji, a security guard with the Nigeria Bottling Company (NBC), allegedly stole the items while on duty at the company’s Lagos Island office on February 11.
Nnaji, who resides at No. 45, Anibaba Street in Ketu Area of the state, was arraigned on Thursday.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Edet Akadu, told the court the accused “was caught in the act by his supervisor, who was also on duty.”
The offence contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011, which prescribes a 3-year imprisonment for offenders Akadu said.
Nnaji pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mrs J. Ugbomoiko, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 with a surety in like sum while the case was adjourned to March 18 for mention.
