You recently won ‘Legends of Nollywood’award. How do you feel being recognised as a legend in the industry?
I was on location in Enugu when the award was held and as you can see, ‘Best Female Act, Mirror in the Sun, Clarion Chukwurah’. The award was received on my behalf by my publicist, Cornell Udofia. This award is yearly organised by Paul Obazele’s company, Royal Pictures. Frank Rajah, I think was part of it as well as Zack Orji and many others. I appreciate the award having been given this recognition for the role I
played in the now rested ‘Mirror in the Sun.’ But I think that the name of the award and the work for which it was given is rather misplaced.

2013 Big Brother Africa’s Ghanian representative, Elikem Kumordzie, has been taken to court on adultery charges by Nii Odartey Lamptey.
The former Black Stars Striker, Lamptey, has accused 2013 BBA housemate of going to bed with his wife.
He reportedly raised the matter and took legal actions against Elikem when he found out that his wife, whom he has been married to for 20 years, was having illicit affairs.
Speaking during different interviews he had granted to Tv channels in Ghana, Lamptey insisted he had caught his wife and Elikem in questionable positions in their home a reasonable number of times, and that he was certain the BBA star was in a romantic relationship with his wife

How did you get into the movies?

I have always wanted to be an actress. One day, I was passing by and I saw Actors Guild of Nigeria banner at New Berries Park, Enugu, I went in there and made some enquiries. The next day, I registered and started going for auditions. That was in November 2010. I got my first role the same day I went for an audition.

What was the title of the first movie you featured in?

A female friend informed me about the audition, so on getting there, they were almost rounding off. When I got there, the director called me and they auditioned and casted me immediately. Though I was so nervous because naturally I am a very shy person, I tried my best to perform well. They gave me the role principally because of my height. The title of the movie is Magic Money. I was paid N6,000.  I acted alongside Mercy

Johnson and Bob-Manuel Udokwu. I was so happy, nervous and excited.

What did you want to become while growing?

I have always wanted to be an actress. I used my lunch money to rent films and would stay hungry. I didn’t allow my shyness to hinder me. I was so determined that I even started working on myself like staying in front of a full length mirror to rehearse and also in front of my friends.

A jealous lover has been arrested by police in Ondo after it was alleged that he had killed a man his girlfriend had been cheating with.
Olusola Akinmiwasi, 35, is said to have attacked one Oriola Akinduko with a machete yesterday and inflicted a deep cut on his head which subsequently resulted in his death.
The accused is said to have barged into a room where his girlfriend and the deceased were in the act of sexual intercourse, at about 1am, and begun his assault.
The unidentified lady survived the incident but Oriola later succumbed to his injuries.

God spoke to me about my participation in the political process, which was why I took the step in the first place. He has not said anything contrary.

Governor Aregbesola who was there with his entourage to unveil it, also had Nobel Literature laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, who recently lost is 48-year old daughterwith him. Pregnant woman, 9 others burnt to death as bus goes up in flames

 
 TRAGEDY struck in Effurun, Delta State, yesterday, as a Delta City 14-passenger town service commercial bus caught fire, killing 10 passengers including a pregnant woman. Four people, including the driver, survived. The bus was heading towards Enerhen Junction.

Vanguard gathered that the bus with number plate 14 C-74 DT burst into flames at about 3.04pm along the ever busy PTI road near Emasodje junction. The accident caused serious vehicular traffic as officials of the FRSC, military men and Policemen retrieved the burnt corpses.

During a war, more than just the politicians and soldiers are affected by the fighting. Take these farmers in South Vietnam, for example. During the Vietnam war, fighter jets would be constantly flying over the countryside. Military tactical jet planes rely on the JP-8 fuel that’s loaded into external fuel tanks, but once that fuel is used, they are jettisoned to reduce overall weight of the plane.

Hopefully none of the empty tanks hit innocent people or their property… but where did those fuel tanks go?
The large fuel tanks were dumped onto the countryside by USAF jets so that they could maneuver better, protecting the pilots.
Luckily these citizens were able to use the cast-off fuel tanks once the Vietnam war was over and they weren’t just littering their countryside.

The controversy surrounding the planned exit of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Lamido Sanusi, deepened on Thursday with the governor insisting that he would not quit the post until his term expired on June 2, 2014.

In keeping with his vow, which analysts see as a direct confrontation with President Goodluck Jonathan, Sanusi has said he will not proceed on his terminal leave in March as initially being speculated. The President had reportedly asked the CBN governor to resign immediately because of the alleged deliberate leakage of the letter that Sanusi wrote to him in which the governor accused the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation of not remitting $49.8bn crude oil revenue to the Federation Account.
