A
supposed 'Man of God' was arrested in Delta State while performing what
he claimed to be spiritual rites on a teenage girl in a cemetery.
An acclaimed man of God of one of the Pentecostal churches in Delta
state was arrested by officers of the Delta State Police Command.
The Policemen arrested the supposed pastor at a cemetery in Ozoro
while allegedly performing rituals with a teenage girl, NAN reports.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Celestina Kalu, a
Deputy Superintendent of Police, said in a statement on Saturday in
Asaba that the pastor was arrested by detectives acting on a tip-off.
She said: “On July 30, 2015, at about 10.30 p.m., a police
surveillance patrol team from Ozoro division, while on routine patrol
arrested one Pastor Oro Oboreh of Christ Freedom Family, Ozoro, in a
cemetery.
The suspect was arrested with a teenage girl, Chioma Praise, aged 14 years.
On interrogation, the suspect claimed that he was performing
spiritual healing on the said Chioma Praise to enable her attain
academic prowess."
She said that the suspect was in police custody and that investigation into the matter had commenced.
