On the night of Monday, 22 September, a Nigerian man was arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with pellets of drugs suspected to be heroin.
The drugs were ingested by the man, who was intercepted while on transit from Pakistan to Benin.
The police on the case have disclosed that the man has so far emitted 42 pellets of heroin.
On Saturday, 20 September, another Nigerian was also arrested at the same airport with 100g of heroin in his rectum.
He was en route Guinea from Pakistan, and has since appeared in court and subsequently remanded in police custody.
In his case, 30 pellets of heroin were retrieved from inside of him, but police believe there may be more lodged in his body.
Police believe the two obtained the drugs from the same source.
Lately, Kenya has become one of the top destinations for international drug traffickers and drug cartels.
