Boko Haram has reportedly abducted 50 women in Gulak town in Adamawa state.
The women, along with other residents, were at a preaching venue when the incident occurred, according to Daily Post.
Reports state that the insurgents were attempting to recruit new members at the venue, and they conscripted able-bodied men.
“They conducted preaching sessions
to attract converts to their sect but people only listened out of fear.
The next day they asked if anybody wanted to join them but there was no
response, so they selected many healthy looking young men and ordered
them to follow them,” said a resident of the town.
Sources say several residents were able to escape from the terrorists, but unfortunately; the women were unable to escape.
