Chairman
of Heirs Holdings and one of Africa's most influential business
leaders Tony Elumelu has joined the growing lists of Nigeria’s
billionaire who has contributed financially to the fight against Ebola
outbreak in Nigeria. The renowned econominst through his Tony Elumelu
Foundation has commited N100 million to help fight the scourge. 50
percent of the fund has been reserved for Nigeria while the other half
will be spread across Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia. The fund,
according to the foundation, will be used to equip medical teams and the
general response to the disease in all four countries.
Only last week Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote patted N150m dollars for the same venture.
