Twenty nine students were killed after militants stormed a boarding
school overnight in Nigeria, NaijaSharpNews sources have
reported. Gunmen from Nigerian militant group Boko Haram stormed a
boarding school overnight, killing 29 pupils, many of whom died in
flames as the school was burned to the ground, police and the military
said on Tuesday. The attack occurred in Yobe State.
“There was an attack at the Federal Government College (in the town of) Buni Yadi around 2:00 am (0100 GMT),” Lazarus Eli, military spokesman in Yobe state, told NaijaSharpNews.
“Some of the students bodies were burned to ashes,” said police commissioner Sanusi Rufai.
